Connecticut apostilles come from the Secretary of the State in Hartford, and the office now runs its apostille intake online. Connecticut documents are close enough to our New York office that timing is friendlier than most states: regular orders are processed in five to seven business days once Hartford has the physical documents in hand, and a courier run beats waiting on mail queues.
Notarized documents need the notary’s standing verified, and there’s no county step, but there is a town-level wrinkle: Connecticut vital records are issued by the town where the event occurred (or the state Department of Public Health), and certified copies have to come from the right office before anything gets authenticated. That town-clerk wrinkle is Connecticut’s signature quirk and the thing we check first.
State fee: $40 per document, among the higher state fees in the country. Full-service timing: one to three weeks depending on the state (call us and we’ll tell you where yours currently stands). Pricing: rates page. Fairfield County finance and NYC-commuter cases dominate: employment verifications, POAs, and birth certificates for EU citizenship applications. /order/ or (212) 245-9690.
