Hawaii apostilles issue from the Lieutenant Governor’s office in Honolulu, and if you’re anywhere but Oahu the practical answer is mail, which is where we come in: your document flies to us, we manage Honolulu, and the finished apostille flies wherever it’s needed.

Certified vital records come from the Hawaii Department of Health, and the ordering path depends on when the record was issued: records dated after January 1, 2025 can go straight into your apostille application, older ones need a separate request through the Department’s Vital Records office first. Notarized documents need an extra step before Honolulu: the circuit court where the notary is registered has to verify the notary’s signature and stamp first. State fee is $3 per document (it was $1 until a July 2025 increase, still among the lowest in the nation), full-service timing one to three weeks depending on the state (call us and we’ll tell you where yours currently stands).
