Massachusetts

Massachusetts apostilles issue from the Secretary of the Commonwealth in Boston. The office is exacting about certified copies: it will only certify an original signature from a Massachusetts notary, justice of the peace, city or town clerk, court clerk, or registrar of vital records, never a photocopy. Vital records must come from the Registry of Vital Records and Statistics or the city or town clerk, and Boston-issued records are their own sub-case.

Notarized documents generally go direct to the Commonwealth. State fee: $6 per document. Full-service timing: one to three weeks depending on the state (call us and we’ll tell you where yours currently stands). Pricing: rates page.

Universities drive Massachusetts: Harvard, MIT, and the rest generate a global river of diploma and transcript apostilles, all needing the registrar-notary chain described on our diploma page. Biotech corporate documents come second. /order/ or (212) 245-9690.
