We’re a New York apostille service with a real office in the Financial District: 165 Broadway, 1 Liberty Plaza, Floor 23. Bring your document in the morning and in many cases you’ll have your apostille the same day. Mail it to us and we’ll handle everything without you leaving home. Either way, a person who does this daily takes care of it, checks it, and tracks it to your door.
The New York Department of State counter processes walk-in apostilles daily, and we’re there every morning. For same-day service, get your document to us before 11:00am. Notarized documents need county clerk certification first, which we handle in the same run when the timing works. Call (212) 245-9690 before you head over and we’ll confirm today’s cutoff and what to bring.
Birth, marriage, and death certificates. NYC-issued vital records come from the city Health Department and need a Letter of Exemplification attached before New York State will apostille them. Records from the rest of the state come from local registrars or the NY State Health Department. If you don’t have the right version, we’ll tell you exactly what to order and from where.
Notarized documents. Powers of attorney, affidavits, consent letters, business agreements. In New York these need the notary’s signature certified by the county clerk of the county where the notary is registered before the state can apostille them. It’s the single most common thing people don’t know, and it’s why documents come back rejected when people try the mail-in route themselves.
Court documents, corporate documents, diplomas, and transcripts. Each has its own certification chain. Send us a scan and we’ll map it before you pay anything.
Documents going outside the Hague Convention countries need embassy legalization instead of an apostille. We do that too, through our Washington DC office.
